How often can the desktop be updated?
As often as you like.  You set the schedule.  You could update once a day, every hour or every 5 minutes.  Set the update to suit your needs.  Want to schedule content in advance?  No problem - you can do that too!

How long does it take for updates?
When you make an update through the admin site, the updates are downloaded behind the scenes to your audience whenever Interactive Desktop recognizes that there is an available connection to the Internet.  The updates are usually very quick and once the updates are completely downloaded, the desktop is updated.

Does it have to be installed?
Interactive Desktop, like any other desktop application, has to be installed once.  It is as simple as your visitors clicking on a link from your website and selecting "Yes" when prompted to install.  The process is very quick and simple and can be customized if needed.

What about security?
We take security very seriously, and stake our reputation on it.  Both the software and communication between the desktop and the content server are secure and we manage everything for you.  There is nothing that you have to worry about besides making sure you have fresh content to deliver to your audience on a regular basis.

How much does it cost?
Ah, the most popular question so far!  That is almost like asking how much will it cost to buy a house.  There are a lot of variables.  Fortunately, we have done all of the heavy lifting with Interactive Desktop already and have invested over $1 million in the base application and back-end communications platform.  We've done customizations for thousands of dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars and beyond.  Since that is a huge range, give us a call.  If you can spend 5 or 10 minutes on the phone, we can get you pretty close to an investment range for your application.
